Cutting Weight. This is almost an unavoidable aspect of combat sport, today we are talking about the culture and psychological impact of cutting weight. This podcast is rife with personal experiences of cutting weight and improper weight cutting strategies. We work through our own experiences to find some data and diamonds in the rough as to why we act this way in weight cutting. If you have wrestled or cut weight in a “serious manner” then you know what we are talking about when we talk about suffering and prioritizing making weight over athletic performance. We come to some good conclusions about the insanity of making weight, and we hope that this dialog can help to change how cutting weight works.
